This is not the international release ref SLA033, but rather it's the rarer JDM version SBDX031.  Zaratsu polishing and the legendary Seiko Caliber 8L35 powering this tool watch, it is more than just a recreation of the popular vintage.  This is a totally improved version from the classic in every possible way.  A true collector's item for any diver watch lover!!

Well, blimey!!  This turtle-cased Seiko diver is one of the most attractive divers I've had the pleasure to try on.  Every angle of this watch has a shine from the "sword polishing" technique used across its case.  If you want one good dive watch in your collection, this is one of our top picks.  A true stunner and an instant classic by Seiko.

Story behind the watch:
Brand new in-box Seiko SBDX031 (Not the international version SLA033) A re-issue of a very popular classic Turtle-shaped Seiko diver (ref 6105-8110) from the 1970s that was made famous by Hollywood blockbuster movie Apocalypse Now.  Although this is a re-creation of a classic Seiko, this current model looks similar but is totally improved technically.  It now has Zaratsu (Japanese sword-polishing technique) finishing with DiaShield coating for extra scratch-resistance.  The sapphire crystal is nearly scratch proof as well.  Limited to only 2500 units, this is one of Seiko's most high quality dive watches ever produced.  It is also hand-assembled in the Seiko Shizukuishi Watch Studio in northern Japan where mechanical GrandSeiko and Credor watches are made.
