RARE Seiko "Hodinkee" Blue Alpinist SPB089

This timepiece is bonkers! Really love the dark bluish-blackish dial.  I would say this is the best Alpinist model out there.

Dunn's Assessment:
The Hodinkee team knows how to do a nice limited edition piece. The dial is perfect.  My favorite part about this watch is the 20mm lug width! You can find an infinite amount of colourful straps to match the dark blue dial.  A very nicely executed field watch.

Story behind the watch:
The Hodinkee edition of the Seiko Alpinist is a US market release. To mark 60 years of the Alpinist, Seiko released this blue dial version in 2019 in only 1959 pcs. Our limited edition piece is lucky number 248/1959. The current Seiko Alpinist line has become part of the very wide PROSPEX lineup of watches and they have a "X" marked on their dial. This version is a much more cleaner look without the X and the blue is a very wearable shade.
